Terms of Use

1. Introduction and Acceptance

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the RoamXP mobile application (iOS and Android) and this website (together, “RoamXP” or the “Service”), operated by Puzzle Tech Studios LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using RoamXP, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the current product. Please read it alongside these Terms.

2. Eligibility and Use of RoamXP

You may use RoamXP only if you can form a binding agreement under applicable law and only in compliance with these Terms and applicable law. You are responsible for complying with any rules that apply to your use of the App Store and your device.

RoamXP is a self-improvement application for iOS and Android. Features may include game-inspired progression, Daily Quest, Focus and distraction protection, walking and Journey progression, journaling, workout and nutrition tools, optional account Cloud Save, and related personal-progress features. Available features may depend on your device, platform version, permissions, and subscription status.

Most user content and state are stored locally on your device. Optionally, you may sign in with Apple or Google to create a RoamXP account and enable Cloud Save backups of selected progress and user content. Journal photos and journal audio remain device-local and are not included in Cloud Save.

3. License to Use the App

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, nonexclusive, nontransferable, revocable license to download and use RoamXP on devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store or Google Play rules and these Terms.

This is a license to use the software, not a sale of the software itself. Except for rights expressly granted to you, we and our licensors retain all rights in RoamXP.

4. Personal and Noncommercial Use

RoamXP is offered for your personal, noncommercial use unless we expressly agree otherwise in writing. You may not use RoamXP to provide a competing service, resell access, or commercially exploit the app or its content beyond ordinary personal use.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • use RoamXP lawfully and in accordance with these Terms;
  • keep your device and Apple or Google account secure, including any credentials or settings that control access to purchases, subscriptions, or optional RoamXP sign-in;
  • grant only the permissions you intend RoamXP to use, and review system settings that affect Focus, notifications, Health, and related features;
  • use your own judgment when acting on any goals, plans, or suggestions you create or see in the app.

6. Focus and Screen Time Features

Focus and distraction-protection features rely on Apple system APIs and permissions, including FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity. Availability and behavior may vary by iOS version, device, system settings, and the permissions you grant.

RoamXP does not guarantee uninterrupted blocking or prevention of all app access. Emergency, system, or device behavior may supersede app controls. Treat Focus features as helpful tools, not absolute locks.

7. Health, Fitness, and Activity Features

RoamXP may request Apple HealthKit permission to read step count only, and may provide walking, Journey, workout, nutrition, and related personal-progress tools.

RoamXP is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis or treatment. Health and activity information in RoamXP is for general personal-progress purposes only. Use appropriate judgment before beginning or changing exercise, and seek qualified professional advice where appropriate.

8. Journal and User Content

You remain responsible for the journal entries, photos, audio, and other content you create or store in RoamXP. Journal photos and audio remain device-local and are not included in Cloud Save. Journal text may be included in Cloud Save when you are signed in. We do not claim ownership of your private journal entries, photos, or audio.

If content matters to you, maintain appropriate backups. Deletion, uninstall, device reset, account deletion, or backup behavior may affect whether content remains available. Local app data may also be included in device backups depending on your platform backup settings.

9. Subscriptions and Purchases

Certain RoamXP features may require a paid subscription or other in-app purchase. Current StoreKit product identifiers include:

  • com.roamxp.app.premium.yearly
  • com.roamxp.app.premium.monthly

Pricing shown in the app comes from the App Store / StoreKit or Google Play Billing. Payment processing is handled by Apple or Google. RoamXP does not receive or store your payment card details. Price and offer availability may change.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple StoreKit or Google Play Billing (including via expo-iap in the current implementation). RoamXP also integrates Superwall as subscription-related infrastructure (including a Custom Purchase Controller and premium entitlement synchronization). Existing native paywalls remain in use; remote Superwall paywalls are not currently presented. Superwall is not used for advertising tracking. Refund handling is subject to Apple’s or Google’s processes and applicable law.

10. Free Trials and Promotional Offers

A plan may offer an introductory free trial when the store reports that you are eligible and the offer is configured (for example in App Store Connect or Google Play Console). Not every user receives a trial.

Trial duration, eligibility, renewal price, and billing period shown at purchase time are controlled by current App Store / StoreKit or Google Play information. Review that information carefully before you subscribe.

11. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled according to Apple or Google subscription rules. You manage and cancel subscriptions through your Apple or Google account subscription settings.

Canceling stops future renewals according to the store’s timing rules; it does not necessarily provide a refund for the current period unless Apple, Google, or applicable law provides otherwise.

12. Restore Purchases

Restore Purchases is available for eligible store purchases so you can restore access on a device signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase, subject to that store’s systems and rules.

13. App Store and Google Play Terms

Because RoamXP may be distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play, Apple’s Media Services / App Store terms and standard EULA, and Google Play’s terms of service, may also apply where relevant.

Purchases and subscriptions are processed through Apple or Google. Except as required by applicable Apple or Google terms, those platforms are not responsible for providing maintenance or support for RoamXP beyond what their own terms require. If RoamXP fails to conform to any applicable warranty that cannot be disclaimed, the relevant store may have limited refund or other obligations under its terms.

Nothing in this section invents obligations for Apple or Google beyond what their own terms and applicable law require.

RoamXP is operated by Puzzle Tech Studios LLC. The seller or developer name shown in the Apple App Store or Google Play may temporarily reflect the store-account identity used for distribution (including during an Apple Developer membership migration) and does not change these Terms or the operator identified above.

14. Availability and Changes to the Service

We may update, improve, suspend, or discontinue features of RoamXP from time to time. Availability can depend on network conditions, Apple services, device capabilities, permissions, and subscription status. We do not guarantee that every feature will remain available in the same form forever.

15. Intellectual Property

RoamXP software, branding, artwork, and original product content are protected by intellectual property laws and are licensed, not sold. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from our protected materials except as allowed by these Terms, the App Store rules, or applicable law.

We do not claim ownership of user-authored journal entries, photos, or audio that you create and store in the app.

16. Prohibited Uses

You may not:

  • use RoamXP for any unlawful purpose;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from RoamXP except to the extent such restriction is prohibited or limited by applicable law;
  • attempt to interfere with the app’s security, integrity, or normal operation;
  • misuse RoamXP intellectual property, branding, or original content;
  • use the app in any way that violates applicable law or these Terms.

17. Disclaimer of Results

RoamXP provides tools and structure to support personal progress. We do not guarantee any particular productivity outcome, behavioral result, fitness result, weight-loss result, mental-health result, financial result, career result, or personal transformation.

Your results depend on many factors outside our control, including your effort, circumstances, health, and how you use the app.

18. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RoamXP is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that RoamXP will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components, or that Focus, Health, analytics, purchase restore, or other features will always work as expected on every device or iOS version.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit warranties or rights that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

19. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we and our officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use RoamXP.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or RoamXP will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid to us for RoamXP access in the twelve (12) months before the claim or (b) fifty U.S. dollars (US $50), if applicable law allows such a limitation.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations. In those cases, the limitation applies only to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. These Terms do not waive rights that legally cannot be waived.

20. Termination

You may stop using RoamXP at any time and may uninstall the app. We may suspend or end your access to the Service if you violate these Terms or if we discontinue RoamXP, to the extent permitted by applicable law and App Store rules.

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

21. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. If you continue to use RoamXP after updated Terms are posted, you should review the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, stop using the Service.

22. Applicable Law

These Terms are subject to applicable laws and any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable consumer rights under the laws of your place of residence.
